# Compliance

> What a Protect Events record holds, how long images are kept, and what the check does not replace.

Each record can show the minimum age that was set, what was captured (face, document, and the guest holding it), the outcome, and who decided a flagged document.

ID images are deleted after 30 days unless the check is still in the review pipeline. Processing runs in London. Images are sent over HTTPS and stored encrypted.

The check does not call the passport office or DVLA, and it does not read a chip. It does not replace a challenge at the bar, door supervisors, a personal licence holder, or conditions on a premises licence. It is not legal advice.
