# How it works

> Guests finish the check on their phone when they sign up or buy a ticket. The venue already has the result before they arrive.

The link goes out with the signup or the ticket. The guest uses their own phone. Desktop cameras are not part of the flow.

1. Guided face capture, with prompts, in even light.
2. Passport photo page, or driving licence front and back. United Kingdom, Ireland, or the United States.
3. A photo of the guest holding that same document, photo side toward the camera.
4. Approved, declined, or waiting in the review pipeline the venue manages.

Under age, an expired document, or a face that does not match the document are declines. Under age cannot be retried into a pass. Awkward documents wait for a person. The capture takes about two minutes. The session lasts 24 hours and allows three attempts.
